I purchased Colgate Optic White Oxygen toothpaste thinking that a higher price would mean better quality, and I have been using it regularly for about a month. I have not had any issues in terms of cleaning or whitening—in fact, I think it works well for my teeth. However, ever since I started using it, I have been experiencing constant sores inside my mouth.
At first, I couldn’t understand the cause and assumed it might be related to vitamin deficiencies I experienced during pregnancy in the past. However, I am currently supplementing all my vitamins, including through injections, so it is highly unlikely that this is due to a deficiency. I later realized that my mouth sores have not gone away since I began using this toothpaste.
I also noticed that the toothpaste foams excessively, with foam overflowing from my mouth—something I had never experienced before. It feels like there may be an ingredient in the formula that is causing irritation or sensitivity in my mouth.
I would like to present this not so much as a complaint, but as feedback to the brand. I kindly ask that this potential side effect be taken seriously, that the product’s ingredients and possible sensitivity reactions be reviewed, and that any similar reports from other users be investigated.
