Unauthorized ClarityCheck Subscription Drained My SASSA Grant
I recently discovered that I have been subscribed to a service called ClarityCheck without my clear consent while I was using my phone. I do not remember the exact date when this subscription started, but on the day after I received my SASSA grant, an amount of R494.54 was deducted from my Capitec account for this service. This deduction has left me without money, and I had planned to use this grant to buy school uniforms for my child. I tried to contact the relevant parties to resolve this, but I was not able to get through, partly because I do not have enough money to buy airtime to call. I never knowingly agreed to this subscription, and I consider this deduction from my SASSA grant to be unfair. I kindly request that the full amount of R494.54 be refunded to my account, that the ClarityCheck subscription be cancelled immediately, and that any future deductions from my Capitec account related to this service be permanently stopped.
Progress
I subscribed this by mistake. When I checked my balance, I found that my SASSA grant for my children had been deducted from my account.
This makes me feel very bad because I am not working, I am ill, and I am a single parent. I depend on that money. I needed it to buy school uniforms because schools opened on the 12th.
I am asking that at least R494.54 be returned to my account. Not 194.54 — 494.54 is the amount that was deducted from my account. Please fix my situation.
