My baby nearly choked to death on a Chicco teether

I am shocked and angry that this morning my infant almost choked to death. This "supposed to be" safe teether for them made by Chicco, only to have the silicone portion of it break apart in their hand. It is unacceptable that products intended for children can be so cheap and dangerous- they should not be able to tear it apart like that! Like a fool, I trusted in their product and look what happened. This experience has made me incredibly anxious for the safety of my baby, and I'm not sure how I'm ever going to trust another teether again. This isn't just a case of buyer's remorse or disappointment; this could have been an absolute tragedy. The thought of something like this happening again makes me sick to my stomach. How many other parents have experienced similar issues? No one should ever have to go through such a horrific experience.
