I purchased a Chery Omoda 5 Pro just 4 months ago, and I’ve already noticed fine internal scratches on the inside of the front windshield. When sunlight hits it from the front, the glass reflects a spiderweb-like pattern, which is not only distracting but also genuinely unsafe while driving.
I’ve owned multiple cars and have never encountered this issue before. I took the vehicle to the authorized service center, but they refused to take responsibility and didn’t offer any solution. Now I’m questioning whether I should have had the car inspected by an independent expert before purchase.
What’s even more frustrating is that the car is still under warranty, and yet they’re not replacing the windshield. For a brand that claims to offer quality, this kind of defect—and the refusal to fix it—has shaken my trust.
I’m generally happy with the vehicle’s performance, but a premium model should come with scratch-resistant glass, especially on the inside, which shouldn’t even be vulnerable to damage. Chery, I’m asking you to stand behind your product and replace the windshield under warranty. This issue is real, and ignoring it damages customer confidence.
