I used the paid advertising/membership website called Chamspy only for a one-time phone number verification that cost $1. Even though I did not request, approve, or receive any information about a subscription, an amount of $68 was automatically charged to my Akbank card without my permission on Saturday evening, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 PM.
On the Chamspy website, the only way to contact them regarding subscription cancellation and this unauthorized charge is through their help center. However, I have been unable to obtain any result regarding canceling the subscription or receiving a refund. After this unauthorized charge, I was forced to cancel my card, and I am concerned that the same company may attempt to charge me again.
I accessed this website solely for a low-cost verification service and absolutely did not approve a subscription at this price. I am requesting that Chamspy and Akbank fully refund the $68 that was charged to my card without my consent and immediately cancel any subscriptions that may have been created in my name.
