Carjet Partner Alo Car Forces Me Into a 4x Pricier Rental

On May 19, 2026, I made a 12-day, full-coverage car rental reservation through Carjet, to be picked up from the Alo Car office at Antalya Airport. My reservation number is PRE-208706731. Before booking, I spoke with a representative named K**** from the office, both by phone and WhatsApp, and she clearly told me I could pick up the car with a €750 deposit, that they'd honor the price shown on Carjet, and that I'd be given a newer vehicle, a 2020 model or later.I traveled about 200 km from Alanya to reach the office at Antalya Airport. When I arrived, I was greeted by a representative named B******, but the car they showed me was a 2016–2017 model, worn both inside and out — far below the standard we had agreed on over the phone. They told me that they were essentially a subcontractor for Carjet, that they could only give this car to a Carjet customer, and mentioned that they actually get paid more by Carjet but don't really care about vehicle quality. Despite this, to avoid further trouble, I accepted this car as well.At this point, even though my credit card supports international and euro transactions, they claimed my card wasn't going through, and said they'd help me through their own system instead — at roughly 4 times the price. I then called my bank, Yapı Kredi's head office, and was told there was nothing wrong with my card, and that the problem was with the other company's POS terminal. During this, I personally saw that B****** had a foreign customer's card in his hand and was attempting a transaction on a different POS screen using that card, while trying my card on a separate screen. I believe this would be clearly visible in the office's security camera footage.Using the excuse that my card was "malfunctioning," they refused to honor my valid Carjet reservation and pressured me into renting through their own system at a much higher price. When I pushed back, they used the same "card malfunction" excuse to cancel my Carjet reservation without my consent or approval, telling me to "go talk to Carjet and get your money back from them." After being kept waiting at the office for about 3 hours, I received an email confirming my reservation had been canceled. That same day, using the exact same card, I was able to rent a car without any issues from a different rental company, paying the deposit in euros.Not only was my day ruined by this whole ordeal, but because of how Alo Car treated me, I was forced to rent from another company and ended up paying roughly an extra $213 and €190 more than I should have. I'm requesting a full, unreduced refund of the $93 charge/transaction amount taken from me, as well as compensation for the additional losses this company caused me. I'm also requesting that the Alo Car Antalya Airport office be removed from your list of business partners due to this behavior, and that a proper investigation and appropriate sanctions be applied to the staff at this office.I want to note that I can provide my WhatsApp conversations, the delivery form the company canceled, the documents for the replacement vehicle I rented, and all other evidence — both directly to Carjet and to you as well, if requested. I want to specifically emphasize that, as a corporate brand, partnering with an office like this both damages your reputation and harms a large number of customers like myself. Since I did not cancel my reservation myself, I'm requesting a full refund of the amount I paid, along with compensation for the financial losses I've suffered as a result of this incident.
