CapCut Pro Subscription Kept Charging Me After I Tried to Cancel
I discovered in May that there was an active monthly subscription for CapCut Pro associated with my Google Play account. I believe this subscription was started accidentally, as I did not intentionally sign up for an ongoing paid plan.
After noticing the subscription, I attempted to cancel it. However, I was unable to find a clear cancellation option either within the CapCut application or through Google Play. Because I could not successfully locate or complete the cancellation process, charges continued to be applied to my credit card on a recurring basis.
The payments first began around March 7–8. Although I believed I had canceled the subscription in May, I later discovered that the cancellation had not taken effect when another charge appeared on my card in June. This was the first indication that the subscription was still active despite my efforts to stop it.
To date, approximately $30 has been charged to my credit card through this subscription. I find it extremely frustrating that I was unable to easily identify and terminate the recurring billing arrangement, resulting in continued charges that I did not intend to authorize.
I request that my CapCut Pro subscription be permanently canceled immediately and that all charges collected since May be refunded. If possible, I would also like the charges dating back to the beginning of the subscription period to be reviewed for reimbursement.
