Busuu Charged Me After I Canceled My Annual Subscription
I am writing regarding an unwanted annual Busuu subscription that was charged to my account despite my clear attempt to cancel it beforehand. I canceled my annual subscription through the app on 06/25/2026. However, on 06/26/2026, I was still charged 62.99 for another annual subscription, billed directly through Busuu. As soon as I saw the charge, I emailed Busuu the next day to explain that I had already canceled and that I did not understand why I had been charged. I received no response for over a week. Due to this lack of response and the unauthorized feeling of the charge, I processed it as a fraud claim with my credit card company. Only after that did I finally receive a reply from Busuu on 07/02/2026, stating that they could not issue a refund and that I could simply use their service. I do not want to use Busuu’s service. I already used the previous year I paid for and found it extremely unhelpful overall. I canceled on time specifically to avoid being charged again, and I find it unacceptable that my cancellation was ignored and that support only responded after a fraud claim was opened. I use the email address kimia***@live.com for my Busuu account. I kindly request a full refund of the 62.99 that was charged on 06/26/2026 and the confirmation that my subscription and any auto‑renewal are fully canceled so that I will not be billed again in the future.
