Bosch Refused Warranty Repair Even Though the Fault Started on Time
I have been a long-time customer who has trusted Bosch and Siemens brands for many years, and my home contains several premium-series Bosch and Siemens appliances. However, my most recent experience has seriously damaged that trust.
My Bosch washing machine, model WAL24PH0TR/01, began showing the E:10-10 error code on January 2, 2026, while the appliance was still under warranty. This error was delivered to me as dated notifications through the Home Connect app, creating clear and digital records proving that the malfunction started during the warranty period.
When the error continued, I contacted Bosch customer service before the warranty expired. During that call, I was told that the issue might be software-related and that a service appointment should be scheduled. However, due to my schedule being fully booked at that time, an immediate appointment could not be arranged. In the meantime, I completed all routine cleaning and checks expected of a user, thoroughly and correctly.
Because the problem persisted, I later created another service request. At that point, I was informed that since the warranty had expired just one day before the service request, the repair could cost between $115 and $345. In other words, even though the malfunction clearly began during the warranty period, Bosch was contacted while the warranty was still active, and verifiable Home Connect records exist, Bosch chose not to honor the warranty and instead avoided responsibility.
Claiming that such a serious and expensive fault suddenly appeared “by coincidence” immediately after the warranty expired—and placing the entire financial burden on the customer—does not align with consumer rights or with the quality and customer satisfaction image Bosch has built over the years.
I paid nearly twice as much as competing brands for this product, and I am demanding that this fault, which is clearly proven to have started during the warranty period, be repaired completely free of charge. Otherwise, I will pursue all my legal rights, including filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
A discount offer of 2000 TL was made on a 9000 TL price, but this is not certain; it was stated that if there is a motherboard fault, this amount could increase. I will apply to the Consumer Court.
I was contacted today and told that a free repair would be offered; I will update the complaint at the end of the process.
The process is ongoing
Service has come three times, they are attending to it but the process is ongoing, it was communicated that a part is expected from abroad.
The issue has been resolved, thank you.
I chose Bosch-Siemens at a high price, assuming it would be long-lasting; as soon as the warranty expired it broke down. I wish I had never bought it and that the issue hadn't reached Şikayetvar. Nevertheless, thank you for your assistance.
The malfunction recurred, I opened a new complaint record, I hope you will help again.
