I Was Charged €960 by “bkghotel at booking.com” Without Any Reservation

On March 19, 2025, my Yapı Kredi Bank credit card was charged €960 by “bkghotel at booking.com”—a transaction I never authorized or initiated. What’s even more troubling is that Yapı Kredi, which normally sends SMS alerts and verification codes for even the smallest purchases, didn’t notify me in any way for this high-value charge. No SMS, no email, no verification request—nothing.

I only found out about the charge by accident while reviewing my past transactions. I do not have any active or past reservations on Booking.com tied to this charge. This transaction is clearly fraudulent and not mine. I’m demanding a full investigation into this unauthorized charge and immediate reimbursement of the €960 (₺ equivalent).
