Booking.com and Rho Hotel Ignored My $331 Refund Request After Stay
On September 5–6, 2025, I stayed at Rho Hotel Amsterdam, booking two rooms through Booking.com. Upon check-in, the hotel placed a $331 authorization hold on my credit card for both rooms and informed me that the amount would be released after check-out. However, it has now been nearly 30 days since my stay, and the authorization refund has still not been processed.
I contacted both the hotel management and Booking.com customer service, but neither provided a solution — each claimed the issue was not their responsibility. At check-out, I was told verbally that the authorization would be released, but I was not given any written confirmation or document. The only proof I have is the payment slip showing the charged amount on my credit card.
My booking reference number is 6847327086. This was my first time booking through Booking.com, and after this negative experience, I do not plan to use the platform again. I request the immediate refund of the $331 authorization hold that has not yet been returned.
