BetterMe App Ruining My Phone! Freezes, Overheating

I was hoping for the best when I installed the BetterMe app, but it's wrecking my phone. On multiple occasions, the app has caused my phone to abruptly shut down or get extremely hot. As a result, the phone starts to shut down unexpectedly and restarting it becomes a real chore.

Though I like the idea of BetterMe, I can't use the program right now because of these major performance problems.
