Beko Refused to Fix My Refrigerator with Gas Leak Issue

The Beko refrigerator I purchased in November 2019, now 5 years and 7 months old, was found to have a gas leak, and a paid replacement was proposed. However, the gas leak is not due to user error but rather a fault that developed within the product itself. Since Beko stated that this type of malfunction cannot be repaired and they are unable to fix the refrigerator, a replacement request was initiated. The user bears no fault or responsibility in this matter. According to Article 8 of the Law on Consumer Protection No. 6502, this situation qualifies as a defective product. Even if the warranty period has expired, such a fault should not occur within the expected lifespan of the appliance. Given that the issue is not user-related and cannot be repaired by your company, Beko holds full responsibility. As previously stated, the malfunction is not due to user error and cannot be repaired. For these reasons, and since I can no longer use the refrigerator, I will apply to the Consumer Arbitration Board unless the matter is resolved.
