Baseus Charging Cable Smelled Burnt While Charging

About four months ago, I purchased a Baseus Glimmer Series Fast Charging Data Cable Type-C to Lightning 20W charging cable from the MediaMarkt store in Bursa Kent Meydanı. I used the product without any problems for approximately three months. At the beginning of September, I suddenly smelled something burning while my phone was charging, so I immediately unplugged the cable from the outlet. If I had not noticed it at that moment, this could have resulted in a serious safety risk, potentially even causing a fire in my home.
About 10 days after this incident, I took the product to the MediaMarkt store where I purchased it, and it was sent to service. Approximately 10 days later, the product was returned to me without any repair or other action, with the explanation that the issue was caused by “consumer error.” I was also given a written service report. I am using a charging cable for its most basic intended purpose, which is to connect it to a charger and charge my phone, so I do not find it fair to place the blame on the consumer under these circumstances. I have used cables from many different brands for years, and even the standard cables included with electronic devices have proven more durable than this product. I am disappointed that a product I specifically chose because of its brand failed in this way and that I was then told the problem was my fault.
The product has a two-year warranty, and I do not accept being turned away under these circumstances. If necessary, I will also file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee regarding this matter. I request that Baseus replace this burned and potentially unsafe charging cable or provide a full refund. I also request that the necessary investigation be conducted into a product that poses this type of safety risk so that similar problems do not happen to other consumers.
