Astroline App Charges Customer $99 in Unauthorized In-App Purchases
On September 9, 2026, I paid $1 through my iPhone 13 via the App Store for a 3-day trial of the Astroline app. However, immediately after this transaction, two separate amounts of $29 and $30 were debited from my card without my knowledge or consent. These transactions appear on my statement as international POS charges. I received no confirmation screen or notification for these extra payments, and even though I did not save my card details in the app, these amounts were collected automatically.
On September 11, 2026, I accidentally tapped purchase buttons within the app that were written in a language I do not understand, and another $40 was instantly charged to my card without any confirmation. This transaction also resulted in an international POS sales record. In total, charges amounting to $99 were taken from my card without my clear and explicit consent.
When I contacted my bank, Akbank, regarding this matter, they stated they could not do anything about these transactions. I also corresponded with the Astroline support team, and they sent me an email containing a breakdown of the subscriptions and one-time purchases. However, this does not change the fact that I did not freely or knowingly approve these payments.
The last 4 digits of my card are 1723, and my registered Apple ID name is N**** A**** G****. I find it extremely problematic that the Astroline app collects fees from users in this manner without clear consent and explicit approval. I demand that Astroline fully and promptly refund all amounts drawn from my card, totaling $99.
If these amounts are not refunded in full, I reserve all my legal rights and will file formal complaints with all relevant official and legal authorities, pursuing this process through every available channel.
