Arçelik A55L 8900 5A TV I Bought Stopped Showing Picture After 4 Years
I purchased the Arçelik A55L 8900 5A Diamond Pro / 4K Smart 55" 139 model TV about four years ago, choosing Arçelik because it is a national brand. Unfortunately, it has not lived up to my expectations. Despite being only four years old, the TV has started malfunctioning—it turns on with sound but no picture. How can a TV fail like this in just four years? I chose this brand for its reputation as a local and national company, but I regret my decision. Comparable TVs should have a lifespan of at least 10 years. A product with a 3-year warranty should not break down in its fourth year. Such poor-quality products should not be sold. I am requesting that my grievance be addressed and the product refunded.
The authorized Arçelik service came and checked the TV, stating that there is a chronic issue with these models and that the LED bar needs to be replaced. They requested a fee of 4,000 TL for this procedure. I mentioned that it has been approximately 4 years since I purchased the product, that it is not under warranty, but since it is a defective product and a manufacturing-related fault, it should be repaired free of charge within its useful life, or even replaced at no cost if it cannot be repaired. It has been about 4 years since I bought the TV. According to Article 58 of the Consumer Protection Law and the list in the After-Sales Services Regulation prepared based on this article, a maximum useful life of 10 years has been assigned for TVs in item 8.4.1, so such factory production errors not caused by usage should be repaired free of charge. I regret purchasing an Arçelik TV, which I bought thinking it was a national brand, and I do not recommend it to anyone at this stage. I am right, and people should not be victimized in this way; if I do not get results, I will resort to legal means. I have attached the Arçelik authorized service receipt so that other consumers can be informed about the grievance I experienced due to purchasing an Arçelik TV. One should think carefully before buying an Arçelik TV.
