2nd Generation Apple AirPods Sound Issues, Misdiagnosis, and Replacement Costs
My 2nd Generation Airpods with Serial Number: H18HJ3ABLX2Y, still under warranty, have a peculiar issue. When I use the left earphone to listen to music, there's no problem. However, during calls, the other person can't hear me, although I can hear them perfectly. This problem doesn't consistently occur on the right earphone, and it happens occasionally. I took the Airpods to the Marmara Park Troy store, an Apple-authorized dealer. After 3 days, I received an email, but to my surprise, they hadn't even looked at the problematic left earphone. They did acknowledge a sound issue with the right earphone and sent me a close-up photo showing dirt accumulation inside, which they categorized as physical damage. It's strange that this dirt doesn't affect music playback but hinders my voice transmission during calls. What baffles me even more is the cost of replacement. The Airpods, which initially cost 4372 TL at the Apple store, were priced at 2913 TL for the right earphone. It's a warranty mystery. I hope someone reasonably sees this and takes action. Amen.
