Apple Customer Support Misled Me About International iPhone Repair Service
I purchased my iPhone 14 Pro in the United States, and approximately two weeks ago I contacted the Apple Store Grand Central location in the U.S. for a technical issue with my device. I was told that the required replacement part was not available at that location, that it could take around ten days for the part to arrive, and that the Apple service center in Turkey would be able to accept my phone for service. I was also informed that a note had been added to the system regarding this arrangement.
Based on this information, I went today to the Apple Store on Bağdat Avenue in Kadıköy, Istanbul. However, the staff there told me that they absolutely could not process devices purchased in the United States. Because I trusted the guidance I received from the Apple representative in the U.S. and returned to Turkey expecting my device to be serviced, I have been seriously inconvenienced.
After receiving these conflicting statements, I contacted Apple Customer Support because I wanted to file a complaint specifically regarding the incorrect information provided by the U.S. representative. However, the customer service representative named B****** that I spoke with was extremely rude, spoke in a condescending manner, interrupted me repeatedly, and treated me as if I were being reprimanded. Experiencing this type of treatment both during the technical service process and from customer support has been extremely disappointing.
As a result of these interactions and calls that took place on June 16 between approximately 1:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m., my device still has not been accepted for service and I have not been provided with a clear solution. I request that my iPhone be accepted for service in Turkey, that the inconvenience I experienced be resolved, and that the call recordings with the customer service representative be reviewed so that the representative’s conduct can be properly investigated and appropriate action can be taken.
