Amazon Web Services Charged My Credit Card $2,335 Without Authorization

On April 8, 2026, a series of unauthorized transactions were made from my credit card through Amazon Web Services (Seattle / US) without my knowledge or authorization. These transactions, which were not made by me, were for $814.69, $434.50, and $1,086.25, resulting in a total of approximately $2,335.44 in unauthorized charges.

These transactions do not belong to me. I do not have an Amazon Web Services account, have never used its services, and have never made any purchases anywhere near these amounts. As soon as I noticed the suspicious transactions, I contacted my bank, had my credit card canceled, and initiated the official transaction dispute process.

I request that Amazon Web Services conduct a detailed investigation into which account these transactions were made through and what user information was used to initiate them. I also request a thorough investigation of the unauthorized activity and that a fraud investigation be initiated immediately. If deemed necessary, I expect these transactions to be canceled and Amazon Web Services to provide the necessary technical and operational support to my bank throughout the dispute process.

I believe that multiple high-value transactions made consecutively should have been detected as unusual activity by security and risk systems and subjected to additional verification or warning mechanisms. I request that the harm I have suffered as a result of these unauthorized transactions be fully addressed and that I be provided with a written explanation of the investigation and its outcome.
