Amazon Sent Used MSI Cyborg 15 As New
My name is Pharmacist Yalçın A***. I ordered an MSI CYBORG 15 A13VE-1863XTR laptop and its case from Amazon Türkiye to give as a gift to a 20‑year‑old university student. The product, which I expected to be brand new and sealed, was delivered to me on 17.02.2026. When I received the package, I immediately noticed that the original packaging had been opened before, the original tape had been removed, and it had been resealed with ordinary packing tape. When the computer was turned on, we saw that the device had been formatted before, then a blank format was applied again, and it had been turned on and off a total of 29 times. The device did not even reach the EFI Shell command line. In other words, the product sent to me as “new” was clearly a tampered and previously used device. Encountering such a product in a situation where I had promised a young person a brand new laptop put me in a very difficult and embarrassing position and seriously damaged my trust in Amazon. I returned the product a few hours after delivery, on the same day I realized the situation, and my return request was accepted. I then ordered the same product again. One of the most critical points for me is this: how a product whose tape has been removed and re‑taped, which has clearly been processed and used, can be accepted into Amazon Türkiye’s warehouse and entered into stock as “new”, and then shipped to a customer, raises a serious question mark in terms of warehouse management and quality control processes. This incident does not appear to be just an isolated mistake; it undermines confidence in the reliability of the entire process. In addition, I would like to specifically state that I do not find it appropriate for the customer to have to request a gift voucher or similar gesture. After such an error and the inconvenience it caused, I believe that the company itself should offer an appropriate form of compensation as a sign of its own embarrassment and respect for the customer. It is neither healthy nor corporate for the customer to have to ask for the care and respect they already deserve as if they were demanding an extra favor. To facilitate your internal investigation, I am sharing my order number: 171-2382721-8529932. I kindly request that the necessary investigation be carried out regarding this incident, that information be provided about how such a product could be shipped as new, and that measures be taken to prevent similar situations from recurring.
