Amazon Processed an Unauthorized Credit Card Transaction
On July 17, 2026, at approximately 9:49 a.m., I attempted to pay the TRY 250 health report fee through the Turkish Ministry of Health's official website. However, instead of processing the intended payment, my credit card was charged TRY 92,399 by Amazon.com.tr without my knowledge or authorization.
I intended to make only a TRY 250 payment, yet this significantly larger charge was processed without my consent.
Immediately after discovering the unauthorized transaction, I contacted Amazon Customer Service. I explained the situation in detail through both phone and written support channels and requested that the unauthorized transaction be canceled and the amount refunded. However, I was only told that a case had been opened and was under review, with no meaningful action taken.
I contacted Amazon Customer Service multiple times and submitted several written complaints, but no concrete steps have been taken to resolve the issue.
Because I was unable to obtain a resolution, I also filed a criminal complaint with the public prosecutor's office regarding this unauthorized transaction.
I formally request that the unauthorized TRY 92,399 charge be canceled immediately, that the full amount be refunded to me, and that this matter be resolved without any further delay.
As a result of this experience, I have completely lost my trust in Amazon.com.tr. I also hope this complaint will be taken seriously so that other consumers do not experience the same type of unauthorized charge and financial harm.
