Amazon Delivery Failures: Packages Delivered To The Wrong Address
I am writing to raise a serious complaint about repeated delivery failures by Amazon to my address, despite us being at home and waiting for the packages. In the last few weeks, my last two Amazon orders have not been delivered properly. The first failed attempt was about two weeks ago, and the second was yesterday, October 7. On the first occasion, the Amazon driver actually drove right past our residence and delivered the package to a neighbor instead. We live in a rural area where houses are spread out, roughly a quarter of a mile apart, so this is not a simple or harmless mistake. The driver appeared to be in a hurry and did not take the time to confirm the correct address before dropping the package, which raises concerns about the quality of the drivers being hired or the pressure they are under to rush their routes. For the first package, I had to walk about half a mile to the neighbor’s box to retrieve my own order, even though I was at home and available to receive it. On the most recent order, the tracking simply showed that there were “issues” with the delivery, without any clear explanation, even though we were at home again and there were no access problems. This pattern is extremely frustrating and unacceptable after living at this address for ten years without these kinds of problems. I contacted Amazon customer service to complain about these failed deliveries, but nothing was actually done to resolve the situation or to give me confidence that it will not happen again. I am especially concerned about the apparent lack of care or competence from the drivers and the fact that the delivery status only shows vague “issues” instead of proper explanations. I request that Amazon investigate these delivery failures to my address, review the performance and training of the drivers involved, and take concrete steps to ensure that future deliveries are made correctly to my home, not to my neighbors. I also expect Amazon to acknowledge the inconvenience caused and to provide an appropriate gesture or compensation for the repeated issues and the extra effort I had to make to retrieve my orders.
