Amazon Claim Denies Charge That Appears on My Bank Statement

On January 24, 2026 at about 2:53 PM, I received a message on my phone that ₺371.85 was withdrawn from my VakıfBank account linked to a card ending in 5742 for an Amazon purchase. I did not make this purchase and did not send any money. I called VakıfBank, and they confirmed that the money had been withdrawn. I asked how my account could be charged without my knowledge, and the bank told me to file a dispute, submit a written complaint, and close the account. I closed the account and had the card canceled.
When I spoke to Amazon customer service by phone, they said the account is not registered with them and that they don’t see any such charge. But the bank records clearly show money was sent to Amazon at that time, with account numbers and details in the bank’s system. I give Amazon the exact time and account info, and they say they can’t find it. When I ask how money can be withdrawn from my account without my permission, they say they don’t see the charge in their system.
Money was withdrawn from my account without my consent and credited to Amazon. The bank has a transaction receipt and account statement showing it, but Amazon is denying it. My money was taken, and it’s not clear if I will get it back. When VakıfBank withdrew the money, they did not send a password or verification message to confirm the transaction — there was zero security from the bank.
