Amazon Charged My Card $4000 Without Verification and VakıfBank Didn’t Prevent It
Through Amazon Web Services (AWS), a $4000 charge was made to my credit card without any proof message or permission from me first. VakıfBank told me about this transaction after it had already happened, with a message that said, "$4000 has been charged to your card." This is annoying. If I had done the deal myself, I'm sure I would have been asked for more than one verification code. But in this case, I wasn't asked for any. It's really scary that there isn't enough protection and oversight for a transaction of this size. I expect VakıfBank to take these kinds of problems very seriously and make their security stronger to keep users from getting charged for things they didn't do.
