I Need a Refund for My TCL MT40X After It Failed Just Two Days After Purchase

On June 2, 2026, I purchased a TCL Alcatel MT40X Movetime Kids Smartwatch from the Vatan Computer store in Tokat Merkez. I paid $108 for the device and an additional $22 for a one-year protection plan. However, just two days after receiving the product, on June 4, 2026, we discovered that the smartwatch was defective. The battery lasts only between 30 minutes and one hour, and the device constantly freezes during use.
Although the product was practically brand new, I requested either a full refund or a replacement with an identical new unit. My request was based not only on the fact that the device became faulty almost immediately, but also on the additional protection plan that I purchased specifically for situations like this. However, the store representatives informed me that a refund would not be possible, that only the authorized service center could make a decision regarding the product, and that the protection plan did not cover this type of malfunction. I was also told that it could take up to 23 days before any decision would be made.
I believe it is unreasonable to be forced to wait such a long time for a product that failed within only two days of purchase. I am also concerned that the protection plan I paid for is not being utilized in this situation. Since the smartwatch was defective almost immediately and I have barely been able to use it, I am requesting a full refund or a replacement with a brand-new identical device at no additional cost. I also request clear and written information regarding the exact scope and coverage of the protection plan I purchased.
