On August 15, 2025, I traveled with my family on an Ajet flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Cologne Airport. We checked in a total of 13 suitcases, but once we arrived home, we realized that one bag was missing. The missing luggage is a dark pink, carry-on-sized suitcase containing household items. While we still have all the baggage tags, we are unsure under which name this particular suitcase was registered.
I am confident that the luggage was left behind at the airport rather than being lost or stolen, but I have received no updates or assistance so far. I have not yet contacted Ajet customer service or the Cologne Airport lost and found office, because I am unsure of the correct procedure. Am I supposed to go directly to the airport to retrieve the suitcase, or do I need to file an official report first?
Considering that passengers rely on airlines to properly handle and track their luggage, this situation is unacceptable and has caused unnecessary stress after an international trip. I request immediate guidance from Ajet on how to reclaim my suitcase and expect the airline to ensure it is returned to me without delay.
