Denied Boarding After AJet Accepted Passport With Four Months Validity

I purchased AJet tickets for my family, including my son, for the flight from Çukurova to Cairo on January 5, 2026, under booking code 3YLB4D. During the purchase process, AJet collected all of our passport details, including my son’s passport, which still has four months of remaining validity. At no point during the booking process was I warned or notified that my son’s passport would not be accepted for this flight. However, after completing the purchase, when I attempted to check in, I was informed that my son’s passport was “not valid” for travel and that we could not proceed. I clearly stated that if AJet does not accept passports with four months of validity, then the system should not have allowed the ticket purchase in the first place. Despite having all the necessary information at the time of booking, the company failed to warn us about a minimum six-month passport validity requirement or any restriction that would prevent our travel. I contacted AJet staff regarding this issue, but I was told that nothing could be done. I find it extremely unfair that the company sells tickets after collecting full passport information, yet does not inform families about such a critical rule that ultimately prevents them from flying. This situation caused us serious stress and inconvenience, even though we acted in good faith and followed all required procedures. I am requesting that AJet take responsibility for this lack of information and system control and provide an appropriate resolution, including compensation or a refund for the tickets we were unable to use due to this issue. Additionally, I expect AJet to update its booking system so that passport validity requirements are clearly communicated and ticket purchases are blocked when passport validity does not meet the rules, to prevent other families from experiencing the same problem.
