Airbnb Canceled My London Reservation One Hour Before Check-In
I booked an Airbnb in London for December 26 - January 1, 2024, only to have my reservation canceled one hour before check-in because the property was "under review." This was a trip abroad, and being informed at the last minute left me completely stranded. The host's listing had reviews and seemed trustworthy, so I feel entirely let down by Airbnb's handling of this situation. While I received a refund, this doesn’t address the stress and inconvenience caused. Why wait until the last hour to cancel? This ruined the start of my vacation. Airbnb must ensure such situations are handled better and provide proper compensation for the distress caused to its customers.
