Air Arabia - Request For Cash Refund Instead Of Travel Credit

I am filing this complaint regarding my Air Arabia booking with PNR 6ANYNS for a Phuket flight scheduled for 24 May. Due to the extraordinary war situation, I was forced to cancel this flight on 24 March 2026 as a non-voluntary cancellation. For this booking, I paid a total of ₺15,556.62. After the cancellation, instead of receiving a refund to my original payment method, a travel credit was issued to my account. I clearly and explicitly request a cash refund to the same payment method I used, not a travel credit. I have been informed that other passengers on the same flight, under the same conditions, have already received full cash refunds. When I contacted Air Arabia customer support, I was told that only credit could be issued because the flight itself was not officially canceled. At the same time, I was also informed that the cash refunds given to other passengers were allegedly due to a “system error.” This situation creates an obvious inconsistency and results in unequal treatment between passengers who were in identical circumstances. Despite making multiple attempts to reach a solution via email and customer support channels, I have only received automated replies and no concrete or satisfactory response regarding my refund request. In light of the above, I request an urgent review of my case and the immediate refund of ₺15,556.62 to my original payment method instead of travel credit. If this issue is not resolved promptly and fairly, I will escalate the matter to consumer protection authorities and pursue all legal remedies available to me.
