Air Arabia Ticket Refund To Original Payment

I had a reservation with Air Arabia under reservation number 6AB1RC for flights G9423 and G9734 on 01.03.2026, for travel from Kochi to Nairobi. On 28.02.2026, I was informed that my flight was cancelled by Air Arabia. Following this, I contacted Air Arabia through WhatsApp and email and requested that my refund be made back to my original payment method for the total amount I paid, 1229.64. Despite the fact that the cancellation was made by the airline, I was told that they would only refund the amount as travel credit, valid for one year. I clearly explained that I will not be able to travel within one year and therefore I cannot use this credit, but they have refused to process a refund back to my original payment method and have not provided a satisfactory response. I am requesting that Air Arabia process a full cash refund of 1229.64 to my original payment method as the flight was cancelled by the airline and the proposed travel credit is not usable for me within the given period.
