I Booked a Hotel on Agoda but the Property Did Not Exist
I made a reservation through Agoda for a hotel called Jakaranda in Istanbul for the dates of June 11, 2026, to June 12, 2026. My reservation number is 667043983. However, when I arrived at the location, there was no hotel sign, no visible business operating there, and no indication whatsoever that a hotel named Jakaranda existed at the address.
I repeatedly tried to contact the hotel by phone, but the line was constantly busy, and I was unable to reach any representative or staff member. Since I was unable to stay at the property I had booked, I was forced to find and pay for another hotel in order to have a place to spend the night, resulting in additional unexpected expenses.
I paid $39 for this reservation using my credit card. Despite the fact that the accommodation service was never provided, Agoda has not offered a refund option, and I have not received any reimbursement to date.
Because the booked accommodation was unavailable and the service was never delivered, I am requesting a full 100% refund of the $39 I paid for this reservation. I expect Agoda to process this refund promptly and resolve the inconvenience caused by this failed booking.
