Agoda Made an Unauthorized Second Charge on My Card
On June 10, I made a reservation through Agoda for Upsuites Hotel for three guests, with check-in on June 15 and check-out on June 18. Agoda charged my credit card $394 for the reservation. However, on June 13, another charge of $394 was processed on the same card without my knowledge or authorization. I discovered this second charge on June 14 while reviewing my account activity.
There is no customer service phone number available in Türkiye that I can contact. I repeatedly reached out through Agoda’s WhatsApp communication channel, but I have not received any response. When I contacted my bank, I was informed that this amount had been posted as a debt on my account and that the transaction must be canceled directly by Agoda.
I demand the immediate cancellation of this unauthorized second charge and a full refund of the amount to my credit card. I also request that Agoda provide a clear and written explanation regarding how and why this transaction was processed without my approval.
I expect Agoda to resolve this issue promptly and compensate for the inconvenience and financial distress this situation has caused. If this matter is not addressed immediately, I intend to pursue all available legal remedies, including filing a formal criminal complaint with the appropriate authorities.
