Zip Car Sued Me for an Accident I Never Caused

In November 2023, I rented a vehicle from Zip Car, a company operated by the Otokoç Group, for four hours. At the end of the rental, I returned the vehicle to the exact location where I picked it up. The car was in the same condition as when I received it, with no accident or damage whatsoever. I took photos of the vehicle and uploaded them through the app, and Zip Car verified the return and remotely locked the vehicle, confirming that the rental had ended successfully.

Now, more than a year later, I have received a court notice from Zip Car. The company is suing me over an accident that I did not cause and is demanding approximately $9,402 in alleged damages.

I have already filed complaints with the relevant authorities, including CİMER, because I believe this claim is completely unjustified. I trust the legal process and request that this matter be investigated thoroughly so that this unfair claim is withdrawn and my damages are remedied.
