I purchased a cosmetic product from the Yves Rocher brand called "Elixir Botanique SPF 50 Sunscreen Cream" from one of their stores. Despite using it as instructed, I developed serious allergic reactions such as redness, itching, and swelling on my skin in a very short time. The store representative, upon seeing my face, acknowledged the reaction and said, “Yes, you’ve had an allergic reaction, I need to take the product for examination and will initiate a return request and get back to you as soon as possible.” As the symptoms worsened, I saw a dermatologist who diagnosed me with contact-related allergy and prescribed cortisone pills and cream, warning that sun exposure could cause scarring and scratching could leave marks. Swelling also developed. I informed the store that my condition had worsened and I couldn’t go outside despite the treatment, and requested a call from a responsible party. No one responded. I then contacted customer service, and two hours later, the Regional Manager Mr. C**** reached out via his personal number. I sent him photos and asked, “Does your expert or R&D team have any recommendations? This is all I can do, but I’m getting worse—do you have an antidote suggestion?” He said no one could be reached over the weekend, but a specialist would definitely contact me on Monday. By Monday, my condition had worsened further—blisters had formed, I felt disgusted with myself, couldn’t cook without gloves, and had to leave dishwashing and anything involving detergent to my husband. Despite their promise, no expert or representative contacted me. The only action taken was to approve the product return via email. But my main concern was my health, which was still deteriorating. They also requested a dermatologist’s report, which was rejected because it didn’t explicitly state “reaction due to the product.” Unfortunately, as no one communicated with me directly, the specifics of the situation were overlooked. The store had taken the product from me on the first day, so how could I get such a report without the product in hand, and how could the doctor write it? I have the entire process documented through emails and WhatsApp messages. When I went to the store to collect my product, they simply took it from the drawer behind the desk and said, “Here is your product,” claiming an investigation would be done. This behavior is unworthy of the Yves Rocher brand—there was clearly no investigation at all.
