Fake YouGov Mystery Shopper Scam on Instagram — Personal Info Collected via Google Form
On June 13, 2025, I applied for a “YouGov Mystery Shopper” position and received a message saying I had been accepted. Shortly after, I was contacted on Instagram by a user named “Yougovtrgizli müşteri”, who asked me to create an account on a platform called Payco. I was then sent a Google Form link requesting my national ID number and bank account details to complete the registration. After submitting all my personal information, no one ever contacted me again, and the phone number provided for communication was disconnected.
During the application, I was promised a monthly salary of ₺19,000, but I was never given a customer ID or reference number. I also tried to contact YouGov’s official customer support, but received no assistance or clarification. So far, I haven’t suffered any financial loss, but I am deeply concerned about the misuse of my personal information.
I request that all my personal data be permanently deleted and that this situation be investigated to prevent others from experiencing similar issues.
