Fake YouGov Instagram Account Targets Users with Mystery Shopper Scheme

I was contacted on Instagram by a fake account named “yougovtrgizlimusteri”, claiming to represent a “YouGov Mystery Shopper” project. The person communicated with me via the phone number 050718313* and said I had been selected for the project. They asked me to create a Payco account so that they could deposit my salary, explaining that a corporate company line would be opened with the provided number.

To activate the account, I was told to send ₺30 from my own bank account. After making the transfer, I realized I could no longer access my Payco account and that the password had been changed without my permission. When I contacted Payco, they informed me that similar fraud cases have recently increased and that my account had been deactivated for security reasons.

I’m sharing this complaint to warn others so that no one else experiences the same scam. Please be cautious and do not trust fake accounts or individuals claiming to represent YouGov.
