During my flight with Wizz Air to Budapest, I was charged additional fees that I believe were unfair, and I experienced significant inconvenience as a result.
Before the flight, I attempted to complete online check-in, but I was unable to do so due to technical issues with Wizz Air’s system. Although this problem was not caused by me, both my friend and I were charged €45 each at the airport for check-in, and we were forced to pay this fee. I do not find it fair that technical issues are passed on to passengers as additional costs.
Additionally, even though my ticket included cabin baggage allowance, I was asked at the last minute to pay an extra €75 because my bag was allegedly non-compliant. I believe my baggage met the size and weight conditions provided to me. This fee was demanded at the airport without clear explanation or any alternative solution, which caused further inconvenience. I made these payments in cash at the airport.
As a result, I was forced to pay a total of €120 in additional fees. I do not believe this situation aligns with Wizz Air’s standards of customer satisfaction and fair service. My reservation codes are NGG3GL and wwmcgd, my flight number is W62430, and the flight date is January 27, 2026.
I request that this issue be investigated, that the €120 in additional charges I believe were unfairly collected be refunded to me, and that steps be taken to prevent similar situations for other passengers.
