An unsolicited caller asking for bank account, card, PIN, password, or verification-code details is a major fraud warning sign, and caller ID can be spoofed, so the displayed number does not prove where the call originated.
Do not provide information, call the number back, click any links they send, or transfer money. If they claimed to represent your bank, hang up and contact the bank through its official app, website, statement, or the number printed on your card.
If you already disclosed banking details or a verification code, contact your bank immediately and ask it to secure your account and review transactions.
