We bought a Whirlpool dryer at Home Depot on May 24. It broke down almost right away and smelled like it had been burned. Whirlpool wouldn't exchange it because of the warranty, but they would send a technician instead. The tech fixed a few things and tested the dryer, but now, after only a week, it won't even turn on. I only hear a weak sound every time I press the power button. That's not acceptable at all. We spent a lot of money on a new dryer, not a broken one that needs to be fixed all the time. Whirlpool's "solution" of having technicians come over and over again is a joke. I expect the appliance to work, not this constant hassle. This has caused us a lot of trouble, messed up our daily schedule, and wasted our time. Whirlpool and Lowe's need to take responsibility and fix or replace this dryer with one that works. Enough is enough!
