How to send a file larger than 2 GB in WeTransfer and what plans are required.

Here is some useful and up-to-date information:

In the free version of WeTransfer, you can send files up to 2 GB in size. To send larger files (up to 200 GB per transfer) and store them for up to 1 year, you need to subscribe to WeTransfer Pro.

As of February 2025, the rates are as follows:

WeTransfer Pro — about €12/month with annual billing or €15/month with monthly billing.

Additionally, Pro allows you to set passwords for downloads, change the upload page background, and use your own domain.

You can subscribe in the Pricing section of the official WeTransfer website.

Once Pro is activated, the limit increases automatically, and you’ll be able to send large files via the web or the app.

❗ If after paying for Pro, WeTransfer does not increase the file size limit — 👉 record this on Xolvie 👈 to demand a resolution or a refund.
