Wego Canceled My Flight Without Permission and Never Issued My Refund
On May 30, 2026, I purchased an airline ticket through Wego.com for a flight from Izmir to Gaziantep departing at 6:00 AM. After completing the purchase, I received an email confirming that my ticket had been successfully issued, and I reasonably believed that my reservation was valid and secure.
However, when I later checked my booking, I discovered that the ticket had been canceled without my knowledge or authorization. I never submitted a cancellation request, nor did I receive timely notification that my reservation had been canceled. As a result, I was placed in a difficult situation and suffered both inconvenience and financial loss.
The ticket cost $81, and this amount has still not been refunded to my account. Furthermore, because I learned about the cancellation after ticket prices had increased significantly, I was forced to face much higher costs for alternative travel arrangements on the same date.
The reservation number associated with this booking is WF521FWGT4R26. Due to the unauthorized cancellation and the lack of proper notification, I request a full refund of the $81 ticket price as soon as possible. In addition, I request compensation for the price difference and other financial losses that resulted directly from Wego’s cancellation of my confirmed reservation.
I expect a prompt investigation into this matter and a written response explaining why the reservation was canceled, why I was not informed in a timely manner, and how Wego intends to compensate me for the damages caused by this incident.
