Wego Canceled My Flight Booking Without Notice and Cost Me an Extra $72

On May 8, I purchased SunExpress flight tickets through Wego for the İzmir–Elazığ flight departing on May 24 at 5:40 AM and the Elazığ–İzmir flight departing on June 7 at 8:10 AM. The total ticket price displayed on Wego’s website was $191, but after completing the payment, I checked my bank authorization and discovered that $198 had been charged to my card. This means that an additional $7 was charged without my knowledge or approval.
Approximately 12 hours before my departure, I attempted to complete online check-in and tried to access my PNR code. However, I could not locate the reservation. When I contacted SunExpress directly, I was informed that no passenger record existed under my information. Wego does not provide direct phone support, and customers can only communicate through written chat or email. I waited approximately one and a half hours to reach a live chat representative, yet I was still unable to receive assistance.
During this time, I was forced to search for replacement flights and discovered that ticket prices for the same route had nearly doubled. Later, Wego responded via email and informed me that my reservation had been canceled. However, no notification email was sent at the time of cancellation, leaving me completely unaware of the issue until shortly before my flight. As a result, I suffered significant inconvenience, stress, lost time, and financial damages.
Although I eventually received a refund of my original payment from Wego, I had no choice but to purchase the same flights directly from the airline’s official website to avoid missing my trip. The original ticket cost was $191, but due to the cancellation and lack of notification, I was forced to pay $269 for a replacement ticket. The resulting price difference of approximately $72 was caused entirely by Wego’s cancellation of the reservation and failure to provide timely notice.

I request that Wego reimburse the price difference between the original booking and the replacement ticket and provide a detailed written explanation regarding the cancellation, the lack of notification, the additional charge applied to my card, and the inconvenience I experienced as a result of this incident.
