Kiwi.com Increased Ticket Price After Confirmation and Delayed Refund
On Sunday, January 18, 2026, I purchased a flight ticket from Antalya to Belgium for 1:45 PM. I bought the ticket through Kiwi.com for €117, my flight details were confirmed, and my reservation was approved. However, about two hours after completing the purchase, I received another email/message stating that the ticket price had increased to €152 and that I needed to pay the additional €35 difference; otherwise, my ticket would be canceled. As a result, I approved the cancellation of the ticket.
Later, I was informed — along with a ticket reference number — that the cancellation had been processed and that the amount I paid would be refunded to my bank account within 10 days. I was also told that if the refund did not arrive, I could present that message to my bank to receive the refund. I submitted the cancellation and refund request on January 15, but despite the time that has passed, no refund has been credited to my VakıfBank credit card.
Since I am currently abroad, calling by phone creates additional costs and further inconvenience for me. In addition, because my phone number registered in Turkey is different from the one I am currently using, I cannot complete any transactions through your system for security reasons, and my issue remains unresolved. Increasing the price of a ticket after it has already been confirmed and fully purchased, demanding an additional payment, and then failing to process the refund promptly and directly to my card after cancellation is unacceptable.
My reservation/ticket number is: 724**870. I request that Kiwi.com refund the full amount I paid for this canceled ticket to my VakıfBank credit card as soon as possible and provide me with written confirmation regarding this process.
