I Face Repeated ABS Failure in My Volvo V40 and Wait Months for Parts from Sweden
My Volvo V40 has shown an ABS malfunction for the second time within just three months. During the first issue, I took the car to the authorized Otokoç İstinye Volvo Service in Istanbul, where the sensor and related components were replaced, and I was told the problem was resolved. However, two to three months later, the same fault appeared again—this time in a different wheel. I then brought the car to the authorized Otokoç Volvo Service in Samsun, where they stated that the sensor assembly on the other wheel also needed to be replaced. I approved the repair, but a few days later, I was informed that the part was not available in Turkey and would only be manufactured in Sweden in November, meaning it couldn’t be supplied until then.
At the moment, my car’s ABS system is not functioning, creating a serious safety risk. Despite this, the service center told me I could either take the car back or leave it there until the part arrives. Since the unavailability of the part is Volvo’s responsibility, I requested a replacement vehicle. However, both the service center and Volvo Turkey customer service told me that no replacement car would be provided and that I must wait. I used to be satisfied with Volvo’s customer service, but their current attitude has left me deeply disappointed.
Because my vehicle is unsafe to drive without a working ABS system, I am requesting that Volvo provide me with a replacement vehicle until the required part arrives and the repair is completed.
