I Faced DSG Transmission Failure on My 2022 Volkswagen T-Roc at Only 43,000 KM
I’m deeply frustrated with my 2022 Volkswagen T-Roc, which has developed a major DSG transmission failure at just 43,000 km. The vehicle is not even three years old—the initial registration was in March 2023. I had the 15,000 km maintenance done at an authorized Volkswagen service, and the 30,000 km service was completed at Bosch Car Service, which is TSE-certified. Despite this, I was denied coverage under the goodwill warranty simply because the second service wasn't done at a VW service center.
Volkswagen is well aware that the DSG transmission has a history of chronic failure. They even acknowledged the issue but refused support, stating that repairs would start from ₺60,000. I reminded them that according to Turkish laws—including Block Exemption Regulation, Group Exemption Communiqué, and the Consumer Protection Law—Bosch Car Service is legally acceptable. With the vehicle’s registration dated 2023, I should be covered until 2026.
Despite this, Doğuş Oto has been unhelpful. They refuse to take responsibility for what is clearly a manufacturing defect. They won’t even provide a written statement declaring that my vehicle is out of warranty. This lack of transparency and accountability is completely unacceptable. I’m extremely disappointed with both the vehicle and the brand. Volkswagen should honor its warranty obligations and fix this problem without pushing the cost onto the customer.
