Wrong Number Porting on Vodafone
I filled out an online application with Vodafone a week ago, but instead of moving over the number I applied with, they switched my current contact number. I was feeling suspicious because I kept getting Vodafone porting messages on my phone number, so I decided to call customer service to check if there was a mistake. They told me that there was no problem with my phone number, and the messages were sent by mistake. Unfortunately, they have transferred my contact number to Vodafone now. Even though I have a good deal with another company, I have to pay fees if I cancel early. Also, I'll have to deal with the inconvenience of submitting requests and paperwork at different banks to transfer my phone number. Also, I don't want to use Vodafone for my phone number, so there will be an additional charge for changing it. I'm just wondering how and when they'll figure this out. I won't pay for any charges that are a result of their mistake and I want them to fix it quickly.
