Vodafone Charges Unfair Fees Under The Name Of Plan Overage Fees

I've recently had a frustrating experience with Vodafone. They unfairly labeled additional packages as "plan overage fees." Here's what happened: I received an SMS notification that my internet usage was nearing its limit, so I promptly turned off my mobile data. While connected to Wi-Fi, I decided to spin the gift wheel and was lucky enough to win 4 days of valid internet. I also had some unused data from previous months. However, my joy was short-lived when I received another SMS notifying me that my bill had exceeded 150 TL, and an over-tariff internet package had been added without my consent. On September 19, 2023, at 19:16, I called Vodafone customer service and spent 14 minutes and 12 seconds explaining the situation. They acknowledged the error, admitted I had existing internet, and assured me they would remove the additional package after the billing date. Naturally, no action was taken. Frustrated, I called again on September 25 at 15:12 and spoke with Ms. Eylem. She stated that they could refund the unjustly charged additional packages, but only if I activated the bill stop feature, which costs an additional 24 TL per month. In summary, Vodafone's unfair practices violate consumer rights. It's disappointing that there seems to be no proper channel to address these issues and protect consumers like me.
