VakıfBank Gold Card Annual Fee Charged Unfairly
I am writing to express my frustration regarding the unfair annual fee of ₺469 charged on my VakıfBank Gold credit card ending in 1820 on December 25, 2024. According to the relevant provisions of consumer law, specifically Article 31 of the Consumer Protection Law (dated May 28, 2014), banks are required to offer a credit card option without annual membership fees or similar charges. The membership fee being charged has no corresponding service, and as such, is an unfair term under the 4822 law, which amended the 4077 Consumer Protection Law, and is subject to the ruling of the 13th Civil Chamber (case no. 2011/4736).
This is a direct violation of my rights as a consumer, and I demand that the ₺469 fee be refunded immediately. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will file complaints with the Banking Association and Consumer Arbitration Committees. I expect a swift resolution to this matter.
Thank you, good work
