Trendyol Refused to Help with Faulty Product Return and No Courier Pickup Option
The marketplace in my city is about 7 km away, so I opted to order the product online. The issue is, I wasn’t buying it for myself. A friend of mine, who doesn’t have a Trendyol account, asked me to place the order on his behalf, and he gave me the money for it. Unfortunately, the product arrived faulty, so I initiated a return. However, I discovered that the courier company doesn't pick up returns from home. When I reached out to Trendyol Assistant, they simply said, “We don’t have an agreement with courier companies for returns; there’s nothing we can do.” My friend’s nearest courier drop-off point is 9 km away, and if I had to go that far myself, what’s the point of using Trendyol? Their response basically felt like, “It’s not our problem.” Honestly, I could just throw the product away and reimburse my friend. It’s not about the money, but after this experience, I won’t use Trendyol again. There are plenty of other platforms with better prices, and Trendyol is among the most expensive. I was willing to pay more because I trusted their service, but this experience has shown me they’re not reliable.
