Tracelo Charged Me After Promising to Find My Phone Cheaply
I lost my phone and stumbled into Tracelo, a firm claiming to be able to find it for just 95p. It sounded like a great offer, so I submitted my bank card information to start. From them, though, I never got any geographical specifics or helpful information. Rather, I discovered the phone by going back over my path. All I found when I checked the phone was a generic message reading, "Your loved ones are looking for your phone." That was definitely not helpful. The following day I discovered £39.95 charged on my account. Fortunately, my bank rejected the transaction after noting it as dubious. As it turns out, it was a monthly charge; without intervention from my bank, I would have maintained being charged.
Issue resolved. Thank you!
